About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist in planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects within budget, timeline, and quality standards
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance, including engineering design, analysis, and troubleshooting
  • Prepare and review specifications, drawings, reports, and progress updates
  • Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers for project implementation and communication
  • Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor project performance
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies
  • Work in plants and corporate office, collaborating across operations, maintenance, quality control, health and safety, logistics, and other departments
  • Report to the Senior Manager, Project Engineering / Regional Project Engineering Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s in Engineering, ideally in Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical engineering
  • Has obtained or working towards obtaining a P. Eng designation
  • Minimum 3 years of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment or a related industrial setting
  • Skilled in managing internal and external teams
  • Knowledge of extrusion and plastic molding equipment is an asset
  • Ability to analyze mechanical and electrical drawings for machinery
  • Knowledge of computers, AutoCAD, CAD systems and 3D perception
  • Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven ability to lead and influence both internal and external project teams
  • Adaptable, highly motivated and continuous learner, with strong analytical and problem solving abilities
  • General knowledge of mechanical concepts, pneumatics, and hydraulics
  • Holds a valid driver’s license and able to travel within Ontario
