Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex engineering and capital projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget and timeline
  • Manage project resources, contractors, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones and business goals
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost savings, and operational efficiency through innovative engineering solutions and best practices
  • Collaborate with plant and corporate stakeholders to develop project strategies aligned with operational requirements and organizational priorities
  • Identify, evaluate, and resolve technical and engineering challenges throughout the project lifecycle
  • Review engineering designs, specifications, and construction documentation for compliance with applicable codes, standards, and internal requirements
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, external vendors, contractors, and regulatory agencies
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior project engineers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associates Degree or Bachelor’s in Engineering
  • PMP certification is an asset
  • 4 years of CapEx project management experience in a manufacturing environment or related industry
  • Knowledge of extrusion and plastic molding equipment is an asset
  • Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven ability to lead and influence both internal and external project team
  • Adaptable and highly motivated, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving technical environment
  • Good knowledge of software such as AutoCAD and the Office suite
  • General knowledge of mechanical concepts, pneumatics, and hydraulics
  • Willingness/ability to travel up to 30%
