About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the engineering team on Aligned’s technical topics and matters
- Work directly with internal and external design teams to ensure technical compliance
- Provide early-stage design direction
- Validate installed conditions
- Conduct yearly site assessments
- Evaluate next-level technologies
- Review and support electrical technical standards and updates
- Review and support each phase of design deliverables
- Assist content preparation and presentation to achieve business approvals
- Support conceptual and directional design decisions at inception
- Review and support major equipment product commitments
- Review and support commissioning scripts, procedures, critical MOPs, and commissioning reports
- Assist with technical investigations and problem solving
- Provide technical support for site performance shortfalls, failures, and issue resolution
- Interact with industry and vendors regarding leading technologies
- Collaborate on customer technical needs and industry developments
- Lead technical review and validation of new technologies
- Provide technical leadership in evaluating sustainable practices
- Participate in written and verbal discussions with senior leadership
- Communicate complex topics to work groups with varying technical experience
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in data center or mission critical electrical and mechanical design, construction and operations
- PE License in the Electrical field preferred
- AutoCAD or Revit experience
- Proficient with interpreting construction drawings and equipment specifications
- Ability to understand construction project scopes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience troubleshooting technical problems during startup and commissioning preferred
- May travel at times up to 25%
