About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for clinical operations and clinical financial outcomes for the Care as a Service (CAAS) offering
- Maintain and further improve Alignment’s clinical model
- Partner with the Regional Director to lead the start-up and champion growth of the offering
- See patients three days a week in their homes or in skilled nursing facilities in Stanislaus County, California
- Provide strategic and operational direction for performance-based medical management
- Manage budget and risk drivers
- Analyze and report business performance data to customers, senior management, and the Board of Directors
- Participate in management of all clinical divisions within the region
- Analyze local profit and loss performance
- Work with non-clinical departments across the organization
- Develop and maintain provider relationships
- Implement decisions and ideas that improve patient population healthcare
- Manage patients in hospitals and Care Centers
- Manage skilled patients in skilled nursing facilities, generally seeing them weekly for one to two weeks
- Create comprehensive, coordinated plans of care across care settings
- Oversee assigned staff, including recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning workloads, monitoring performance, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2-3 years of Hospitalist, Family Practice, or Internist experience preferred; graduating residents and fellows will also be considered
- 1-3 years of administrative experience
- 1-3 years of managed care experience preferred
- Basic understanding of the UM/QM process
- NPI required upon start
- Medical Doctorate (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.)
- Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Residency
- Completion of residency program in the United States
- Board Certification required
- Medical License in the state in which you are applying
- DEA license
- Must be board certified or board eligible in specialty
- Substantial knowledge across medical subspecialties
- Clinical confidence and friendly bedside manner
- Flexibility and willingness to learn new systems and processes
- Strong communication skills
- Proven background in financial and clinical data analysis
