About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform routine and ad-hoc analyses across operational datasets to uncover trends, variance drivers, root causes, and performance risks
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reporting tools
- Partner with Operations, Finance, IT, Quality, Compliance, and Product teams to investigate issues and develop data solutions
- Translate analytical findings into business implications and recommendations
- Support standardized data definitions, data quality checks, and KPI frameworks
- Serve as an analytics resource and data steward for new systems, workflows, process redesign, and operational transformations
- Develop analytical models and forecasting tools for capacity planning, performance improvement, and strategic initiative evaluation
- Identify opportunities to automate data collection, reporting, and workflow processes
- Create visual storytelling artifacts for technical and non-technical audiences
- Support regulatory, compliance, and audit-related reporting
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned
- Individual contributor role with no supervisory responsibilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or operations analytics
- Experience using data to support process improvement, operations strategy, or performance management
- Understanding of calculation methodology and technical specifications related to Star Rating (HEDIS, CAHPS/HOS Survey, Admin, Part D) and overall Medicare Advantage Quality Programs
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business, Information Systems, Economics, Public Health, or a related field, or 4+ years of direct relevant experience in place of the degree
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation
- Experience with a Business Intelligence platform (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate data into meaningful insights
- Ability to communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
- Understanding of workflows, KPIs, SLAs, and process improvement
- Preferred: healthcare, insurance, or regulated-environment experience
- Preferred: cross-functional or matrixed organization experience
- Preferred: formal training in data analysis, data management, Lean/Six Sigma, or BI tools
- Preferred: Python, R, or advanced analytics tools
- Preferred: data governance or master data management principles
- Preferred: automation, workflow optimization, or scalable data pipelines
- Preferred: Medicare Advantage, value-based care, or payer operations familiarity
