About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with the VP of People & Culture and leadership team to shape and strengthen people practices across AllCare Health
- Support development and implementation of strategic People & Culture plans and policies
- Oversee People & Culture operations and ensure compliance with labor laws
- Analyze People & Culture effectiveness and provide specialized reports to the VP of People & Culture
- Serve as a member of the Senior Leadership Team
- Manage labor and employee relations, employee safety, Workers' Compensation, and People & Culture policies and procedures
- Develop and deliver plans, policies, and initiatives covering recruitment, training, and compensation
- Collaborate on payroll, benefits, incentives, employee engagement, employee retention, talent acquisition, and related functions
- Assist with workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, and change management initiatives
- Monitor employee progress toward career paths or job designations
- Promote equal opportunity and diversity
- Monitor policies and department functions for compliance with government regulations and public policy
- Coordinate between staff and management and resolve workplace conflicts
- Collaborate with health and safety to manage Workers' Compensation, OH&S policies, workplace health and safety plans, and risk assessment
- Assist with recruitment efforts and develop talent acquisition strategies
- Maintain regular attendance and work collaboratively in a team environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Public Administration, or a related field strongly preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5 or more years' experience as a Human Resources professional with steady HR leadership progression
- Experience in problem-solving and conflict resolution
- Experience in strategic planning and implementation
- Valid Oregon Driver's License and vehicle insurance
- Active SHRM membership
- SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, or PHR certification preferred
- Deep knowledge of People & Culture functions, including talent management, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, learning and development, and other core P&C practices
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word
- Advanced proficiency with HR systems, including HRIS, payroll, applicant tracking systems, and learning management systems
- Ability to learn and understand SharePoint and Policy Tech
- Ability to analyze workforce metrics and analytics, develop executive-level reports and dashboards, and use data to support strategic decision-making
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws, workplace investigations, HR compliance, and employee relations best practices
- Knowledge of project management and organizational change management principles
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and public speaking skills
- Ability to develop policies, procedures, and organizational standards
- Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization
- Ability to facilitate training and leadership development initiatives
- Knowledge of diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and culturally responsive workplace practices
- Knowledge of trauma-informed organizational principles and psychological safety
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
- Ability to work with probability, statistical inference, geometry, trigonometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions
- Specialized computer skills, including database, spreadsheet, report writing, project management, graphics, word processing, presentation creation/editing, email, and scheduling software
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and work with abstract and concrete variables
- Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 10 pounds
- Ability to work onsite, as needed, from a home office, as needed, and travel, as needed
- Ability to maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance
- Ability to complete required Relias Learning Module System training
