About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support efforts to position the Pittsburgh region as a competitive location for business retention, expansion, and attraction
  • Support project management activities within priority growth sectors, including Robotics/Artificial Intelligence, Life Sciences, Energy, and Advanced Manufacturing
  • Serve as relationship manager for corporate clients, site selectors, and economic development partners
  • Establish partnerships with state and county agencies, business leaders, real estate professionals, utility providers, and academic and research institutions
  • Coordinate responses to requests for information and other project activation efforts
  • Plan and execute site visits
  • Participate in national and international trade shows, conferences, meetings, and business development events
  • Utilize economic, real estate, and workforce data to develop business cases and support prospect decision-making
  • Track project activity and maintain stakeholder information using Salesforce, PA SITES, CoStar, MailChimp, and Teams
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Policy, and Strategy & Research teams to ensure a consistent, data-informed business attraction message
  • Support other Allegheny Conference teams as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 1–3 years of professional experience in business development, commercial real estate, corporate investment, or economic development
  • Strong analytical, presentation, and relationship management skills
  • Experience using Salesforce, PA SITES, CoStar, MailChimp, and Teams
  • Willingness and ability to travel in-region and out-of-state
  • Ability to drive prospects to events and sites
