About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage portfolio cash balances in accordance with portfolio guidelines and investment strategy
  • Monitor portfolio positions, trade orders and analytics for compliance with client guidelines and asset allocation, duration and risk targets
  • Highlight deviations from targets and recommend rebalancing trades
  • Generate purchase and sell orders for client cash flows, FX rebalances and active investments
  • Facilitate account openings and closings and address ad-hoc client requests
  • Prepare investment and portfolio exposure reports
  • Review guideline amendments, custodial changes and other account-impacting activities
  • Identify opportunities to re-engineer and automate processes with technologists
  • Support Portfolio Managers, Sales, Trading and Operations in delivering client requirements
  • Partner with Insurance Operations on portfolio transfers and actionable cash balances
  • Build and maintain investment program trackers and report-out presentations
  • Serve as clients’ first point of contact for asset-class inquiries and support impairment reviews
  • Perform bespoke asset-allocation analysis and provide insurance-specific relative-value recommendations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Three to five years of industry-related experience
  • Experience with Fixed Income credit, currency and/or global markets is preferred
  • Strong interest/experience in financial markets, notably insurance asset management
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented organization
  • Exceptional understanding of risk management and overall control environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to think logically and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Motivated self-starter with interest in process improvement and leveraging technology
  • Coding and AI experience or use of data visualization tools is beneficial
