About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide customer service and overall service for assigned customers and/or policies
  • Solicit new business on existing accounts and support Producer-led new business efforts
  • Support the Producer in developing new business opportunities for existing clients and prospects
  • Initiate renewals and develop renewal strategies with the Producer
  • Analyze exposures and develop renewal or new business specifications for marketing
  • Conduct marketing, negotiate rates, and review quotes and coverages for competitiveness and accuracy
  • Review and summarize marketing results and prepare proposals
  • Finalize proposals and presentations with the Producer
  • Bind insurance coverage and prepare binders and/or delegate certificate issuance
  • Review policies for accuracy and review contracts
  • Prepare coverage summaries and/or schedules for clients
  • Review client accounting history, respond to inquiries, correct discrepancies, and contact clients regarding receivable collections
  • Participate in the claims process, including claim submission, follow-up, and communication
  • Provide technical guidance to staff assisting with client needs or procedural issues
  • Notify brokers of pertinent information related to client retention
  • Meet with clients as needed or directed by the Producer
  • Collect fees and reconcile and resolve outstanding balances within 90 days of invoicing
  • Maintain complete and accurate information in accordance with agency management system data standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Six (6) or more years related work experience
  • Valid Insurance License
  • Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills, including telephone and listening skills
  • Good leadership, problem solving and time management skills
  • Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork
