About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Handle a larger book of business and provide customer service and overall service for assigned customers and/or policies
- Support and sometimes lead a service team with oversight from an experienced Account Executive or direct manager
- Support Account Executives on sophisticated large accounts and directly manage assigned accounts
- Initiate renewals and develop renewal strategies with the Regional Director or Producer
- Analyze exposures and develop renewal or new business specifications for marketing
- Conduct marketing, negotiate rates, and review quotes and coverages
- Review policies, determine appropriate coverage, and identify deficiencies
- Review marketing results and prepare proposals, presentations, binders, and certificates
- Review policies for accuracy and contracts for compliance
- Prepare coverage summaries and schedules
- Review accounting history, respond to inquiries, correct discrepancies, and pursue receivable collections
- Coordinate claims processes with claims staff and advocates
- Communicate client-retention information to producers and service teams
- Meet with clients as needed or directed
- Mentor staff
- Collect fees and resolve outstanding balances within 60 days of invoicing
- Maintain complete and accurate agency management system data
- Perform duties in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Eight (8) or more years related work experience
- Encouraged to complete Career Path requirements as communicated by supervisor
- Valid Insurance License
- Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced planning, organizational and prioritization skills
- Technical skillset and knowledge of insurance marketplace and lines of insurance for assigned book
- Ability to supervise and lead staff
- Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork
- Excellent customer service skills, including telephone and listening skills
- Good leadership, problem solving and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
