About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the delivery of consulting projects to employer prospects and clients
- Assist with financial modeling of Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) financial proposals
- Prepare first drafts of new business and client deliverables for Senior Pharmacy Consultant review
- Work with Senior Pharmacy Consultants and health benefit consultants to support client strategy development
- Research pharmacy industry issues affecting large employers and develop written summaries and points of view
- Manage projects using appropriate tools to ensure timely completion and quality assurance
- Schedule and manage weekly/bi-weekly status meetings
- Work with client teams to use pharmacy practice resources appropriately and improve processes
- Maintain complete and accurate agency management system data
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Health Care or related industry or equivalent combination of education and experience
- One (1) or more years of experience in an actuarial, underwriting, pricing or consulting role in a Health & Welfare consulting/brokerage firm, PBM or health insurance carrier, or experience in financial analyses of the health care sector gained in a banking/financial services environment
- Working knowledge of commercial health insurance industry and financial acumen
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical, organizational and prioritization skills
- Excellent problem solving and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment
- Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork
- Willingness to go the extra mile to produce quality work, as client-ready as possible, with a fine attention to detail
- Ability to work with large data sets in Excel, Access, or other large data manipulation software a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
