About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide analytical support to operating group leadership and teams
- Provide broad analytical support to assigned departments and act as a liaison between departments
- Analyze and interpret financial results, comparing actual performance to prior periods, budgets, and forecasts
- Clearly articulate the narrative behind financial results to management
- Design and prepare ad hoc and standard management reporting
- Proactively develop increasingly insightful reports for management
- Construct moderate to complex financial models to analyze current and proposed company initiatives
- Lead forecasting and budgeting processes
- Create and maintain planning templates and reports
- Help construct revenue and expense plans
- Identify and analyze variances, challenging and redirecting business assumptions as needed
- Organize and analyze large quantities of data and perform data reconciliations
- Identify and interpret patterns and outliers and provide insight into data meaning
- Partner with IT to develop and maintain the integrity of financial systems used for analysis
- Identify process improvements and implement methods to reduce errors and maximize productivity and efficiency
- Perform duties in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Mathematics or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Five (5) or more years related work experience, specifically in a FP&A role
- Strong understanding of financial computer systems and data systems
- Graduate degree or professional certification
- Certified Corporate FP&A Professional
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Certified Financial Planner-CFP Board
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Polished presentation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, with advanced Excel skills and familiarity with Access
- Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills
- Strong ability to interpret and analyze financial statements
- Strong mathematical ability
- Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent assignments and complete work by required due dates
- Ability to interact professionally with employees across all levels of organization
- Technical understanding of data structure, data mining and reporting processes
- Highly proactive; actively seeks opportunities for process improvement
- Works independently with minimal supervision and as a member of a team
