About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide concierge-level support to members throughout their care journey
  • Help members find curated lists of high-quality, low-cost in-network specialists
  • Explain medical plans, covered benefits, financial responsibility, employer point solutions, and cost-containment programs
  • Assist with scheduling appointments and provide ongoing support
  • Research providers using web-based tools to maximize member benefits
  • Manage daily tasks in internal systems within assigned turnaround times
  • Respond to member and provider inquiries
  • Confirm appointment attendance and scheduling
  • Document service impact and savings for accurate value reporting
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to coordinate member care
  • Document updates and ongoing impacts in appropriate systems
  • Develop and maintain written operational procedures
  • Cross-train team members
  • Strategize with Medical Management Leadership about trends identified in member cases
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
  • 2+ years of experience in member advocacy or care coordination
  • Working knowledge of employee medical benefit plans
  • Experience with group health insurance and self-funded health plans preferred
  • Highly skilled in written and verbal communication
  • Intermediate-level work experience with Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Internet connection through cable broadband or fiber optic service
  • Minimum internet speeds of 100Mbps download and 25Mbps upload
