About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the customer's primary point of contact for contractual maintenance program management obligations related to combustion turbine Covered Units
  • Direct outage scheduling and preplanning in coordination with Field Services, Repairs, and Parts organizations
  • Own the Remote Diagnostic Services notification and escalation process after monitoring installation
  • Ensure program manager obligations are met across parts logistics, warranty resolution, technical support, and formal reporting
  • Coordinate communications between APG and the Owner under the Agreement
  • Coordinate inventory, repair, technical field advisory, transportation, and internal resources for Scheduled Maintenance events
  • Assist with Scheduled Maintenance projections and outage forecasts
  • Initiate and resolve warranty claims
  • Coordinate technical support and facilitate resolution of technical issues affecting Covered Units
  • Keep the Owner informed of fleet-wide issues
  • Lead outage scheduling and preplanning with Field Services, Repairs, and Parts teams
  • Organize and participate in annual meetings, outage planning meetings, readiness reviews, daily mobilization meetings, and post-outage reviews
  • Distribute meeting agendas and minutes
  • Provide and maintain detailed digital project schedules for Scheduled Maintenance events
  • Coordinate staffing plans, crane and special-tools readiness, site access, and material storage/handling
  • Assist with Unscheduled Maintenance response planning and rapid mobilization
  • Maintain the parts tracking database
  • Coordinate warehouse stock, delivery, and shipment of parts
  • Review parts inventory and ensure parts are secured, shipped, inventoried, and inspected before outages
  • Arrange shipment of Program Parts from the Site after outages
  • Serve as the primary contact for RDS notifications
  • Assess system-generated alarms and events, coordinate engineering escalation, and communicate significant operating events to the Owner
  • Notify the Owner of potential operational or maintenance issues identified through remote monitoring within 24 hours
  • Maintain RDS notification and follow-up records
  • Coordinate monthly Remote Monitoring Reports covering issues and operating trends
  • Engage 24-hour engineering support for escalated alarms, abnormal conditions, and performance trends
  • Deliver outage reports after every outage
  • Prepare and deliver the annual report covering performance upgrades, outage history, issues, resolutions, and updated outage forecasts
  • Conduct Scheduled Maintenance coordination and post-outage review meetings

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of experience in operations, maintenance, or program/outage management for heavy-duty gas turbines and combined cycle steam turbines (7EA, 7FA, 9FA, 6B, 501D series, or comparable frames)
  • Demonstrated experience managing customer-facing long-term service agreements
  • Experience with outage planning cycles
  • Experience coordinating cross-functionally across field services, parts, repair, and engineering teams
  • Strong project scheduling skills
  • Strong written reporting skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable presiding over customer meetings and producing formal, digital-format deliverables
  • Working knowledge of remote diagnostic / condition monitoring platforms preferred
  • Knowledge of NERC CIP considerations preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline; equivalent hands-on experience considered in lieu of a degree
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods or until the end of the assigned shift
  • Ability to safely lift 40 lbs. as needed throughout the assigned shift, with or without assistance
  • Ability to bend/stoop, squat, reach above shoulder height, crouch, balance, and push/pull
