About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Complete comprehensive patient assessments
Determine diagnosis and treatment of illness
Order and interpret medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician
Prescribe medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment
Conduct patient education for chronic illness management or wellness care
Support MHI Baxter and MHI Crosby
Provide outreach clinic support in Aitkin and Staples

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master's degree - Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
Certification as a Physician Assistant - NCCPA upon hire required, or Certified Nurse Practitioner (ANCC) or (AANP) required upon hire
Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire (NP candidates)
Active MN & WI NP/PA license (or ability to obtain)
BLS certification required within 180 days of hire
Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges
Cardiology experience is strongly preferred
New graduates may be considered with a minimum of 2 years experience in cardiology or ICU
Ability to lift up to 32 lbs. occasionally and up to 25 lbs. frequently
