About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care
- Review patients' medical histories and synthesize comprehensive clinical information
- Evaluate, interpret, and coordinate information to make patient-care decisions and recommendations
- Provide education, consultation, intervention, and treatment plans to patients and families
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure coordinated, high-quality care
- Practice thoughtfully while considering cultural diversity, individual autonomy, and legal responsibilities
- Provide care in an ambulatory clinic and gynecologic surgical coverage
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Educate and counsel patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care
Requirements
What you’ll need- Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or foreign equivalent from an approved school of medicine
- Completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited residency training program in OB/GYN
- Licensed Physician through the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice if working in Minnesota
- Must be board certified or eligible for board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology upon hire
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association, current BLS certification from the American Red Cross, or Allina in-house BLS training within 30 days of hire
- Drug Enforcement Agency Certificate upon hire
- Prescription Monitoring Program upon hire
- National Provider Identifier upon hire
- Ability to lift up to 32 lbs. occasionally and up to 25 lbs. frequently
