About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee day-to-day operations and services of multiple medical imaging specialties
- Ensure staff are clinically competent and adequate trained staff, supplies and equipment are available
- Complete hiring, training, scheduling and performance management for technologist staff
- Work in a technologist capacity when needed
- Supervise daily department operations and check work assignments
- Provide clinical and technical assistance with equipment and procedures
- Manage daily staffing and overtime to optimize productivity
- Perform equipment quality assessments
- Maintain preventative maintenance on imaging equipment
- Assist with supply needs and new product evaluation
- Assist in developing and updating policies and procedures
- Coordinate quality and process improvement projects
- Conduct performance management and reviews
- Hire and onboard employees
- Train, orient and maintain employee competencies
- Maintain scheduling, approve time off and sign off timecards
- Maintain optimal staffing
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate's or Vocational degree from an accredited school of Radiology
- 2+ years clinical experience in Medical Imaging
- 0 to 2 years of leadership experience as a lead or supervisor
- Registered Technologist certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required upon hire
- Must meet at least one of: current BLS certification from the American Heart Association; current BLS certification from the American Red Cross; or Allina in-house BLS training within 30 days of hire
- Mammography, MRI or CT advanced certification upon hire preferred
- Ability to lift up to 32 lbs. occasionally and up to 25 lbs. frequently
