About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide individual telehealth therapy to LGBTQIA+ clients
- Deliver affirming, trauma-informed, evidence-based treatment tailored to community needs
- Conduct clinical assessments
- Maintain timely, HIPAA-compliant documentation in the Avon EMR
- Use CBT, DBT, EMDR, CPT, the Trauma Journal, and Written Exposure Therapy protocol as appropriate
- Participate in regular and required clinical supervision
- Work toward full independent licensure
- Maintain at least 10 client-facing sessions per week with flexible scheduling
- Report to the Clinical Director
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active/full licensure as an LICSW, LPC, or LMFT in DC; the posting body also states an active Maryland license as an LCSW, LCPC, or LCMFT
- Experience and strong passion for working with LGBTQIA+ clients
- Cultural competence delivering affirming, identity-centered care
- Comfortable providing individual therapy in a telehealth setting
- Skilled in clinical assessment and timely, HIPAA-compliant documentation
- Minimum commitment of 10 client sessions per week
- Flexible availability Monday to Sunday
- Familiarity with evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, or CPT is preferred
- Experience serving BIPOC and neurodivergent LGBTQIA+ clients is preferred
- Comfort with outcomes-based, measurement-informed care is preferred
- Additional licensure in Maryland, Virginia, or North Carolina is a bonus
