About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure applications and servers are built using best practices and reusable approaches
- Apply technology to meet business needs
- Support projects designed and built in alignment with Enterprise Architecture
- Operate at both strategic and tactical levels
- Devise short-term solutions that complement longer-term goals
- Act as a change agent by challenging the status quo and helping teams adopt improved methods and newer technologies
- Meet with and present to the Enterprise Architecture Review Council
- Obtain approval and guidance from IT areas to ensure sustainable services and applications are created
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree, specialized training, or equivalent work experience
- Eight to fifteen years of experience in multiple IT areas
- Five to seven years of relevant technology architecture experience
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Solution Architect experience for two or more large-scale, heterogeneous IT programs (desired)
- Demonstrated success developing solutions that solve business problems (desired)
- Experience designing and implementing SOA and services in an enterprise setting (desired)
- Travel Industry experience (desired)
- Broad IT experience spanning IBM Mainframe & TPF, JEE, Microsoft .NET, eCommerce, and networking (desired)
- Knowledge of an enterprise architecture framework (desired)
