About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee governance and documentation of foundations, components and templates
- Drive collaboration with Engineering, including connecting the component library to code through tokenisation
- Support the evolution of Figma libraries, foundations and component architecture
- Maintain and build upon existing ways of working so squads contribute to the design system vision and strategy
- Work within the Design System product squad to deliver its roadmap
- Contribute to quarterly planning sessions
- Introduce AI tooling to increase squad efficiencies
- Identify opportunities to improve adoption, reduce duplication and increase consistency
- Enforce design standards across product squads
- Advance the design system roadmap with Engineering toward a fully scaled solution
- Promote best practices in accessibility, usability and interaction design
- Measure success through increased adoption, accurate documentation and successful roadmap delivery
Requirements
What you’ll need- Industry leader in Figma
- Extensive experience creating, evolving and governing design systems within a complex digital environment
- Demonstrable experience maintaining and scaling a design system
- Strong understanding of component-based design, design tokens and the relationship between design systems and front-end development
- Excellent attention to detail with a passion for consistency, quality and usability
