About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Shape and implement Procurement strategy and processes for The National Lottery over the next 10 years
- Build collaborative relationships with internal business partners across Facilities Management, Fleet, Business Operations, Retail Operations and Product
- Proactively manage stakeholder contact and build a pipeline of current and future requirements for savings forecasting and smooth Procurement processes
- Capture detailed business requirements requiring third-party contracting
- Research suppliers, create shortlists and issue RFIs where appropriate
- Run RFP processes and coordinate supplier pitches with internal stakeholders
- Follow Procurement Operations processes and provide data for internal governance and processing requirements
- Work cross-functionally to ensure stakeholder requirements are included in selection and engagement processes
- Award and appoint new suppliers
- Negotiate contracts and draft commercial terms alongside Legal
- Deliver and track savings and build a pipeline of future opportunities
- Develop category strategy roadmaps and share them with stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration
Requirements
What you’ll need- Qualified experience in related areas: Facilities Management, Business Operations, Retail Operations, Product, Supply Chain
- 5+ years of experience in selecting, onboarding, and managing suppliers
- Experience of drafting, negotiating, and managing supplier agreements within FM, People Operations, Retail categories
- Category knowledge within FM and Retail Operations
- Excellent relationship management skills and ability to work collaboratively with senior management
- Extremely customer-focused, with ownership of Procurement liaison for relevant stakeholder groups
- Strong ability to influence others with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and collaborative, with a curious and driven approach
- Flexible working approach and openness to exploring categories outside the outlined remit
- Basic understanding of sustainable procurement best practices and embedding them into the sourcing process
