Key responsibilities & impact

Administration, production support, and maintenance of DB2 for z/OS environments
Analysis of DB2 database structures, data, dependencies, and impacts on Mainframe processes
Analysis of DB2 usage across processing workflows
Mapping of tables, relationships, jobs, and their respective dependencies
Identification and analysis of impacts on processes and data
Analysis and resolution of DB2 database performance issues
Support for the team in defining strategies to migrate DB2 data and processes to external platforms
Support for Mainframe environment modernization and migration initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience as a DB2 for z/OS DBA
Experience administering and supporting DB2 environments
Knowledge of SQL
Experience analyzing DB2 database performance
Knowledge of data structures and data models
Knowledge of JCL
Experience in Mainframe environments
Desirable knowledge of IMS/DB, CICS, TWS/IWS, batch processing, and data integration
Experience with Mainframe environment migration and modernization projects
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (IT) or a related field
