About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Respond to incidents and contribute to threat containment and eradication phases
- Perform forensic acquisitions and analyses across Windows, Linux, macOS, mobile devices, network equipment, and applications
- Preserve, collect, and analyze data and evidence in accordance with digital forensics standards
- Establish an overall view of the compromise and produce a reliable timeline in a technical report
- Identify action plans and develop containment and eradication strategies
- Support clients throughout end-to-end crisis management and communicate with them
- Coordinate communication with operational, investigative, and technical teams
- Assess and resolve technical issues potentially related to malicious or criminal activity
- Maintain the Forensics Lab and test new tools
- Develop initiatives to enhance response capabilities and reduce remediation timelines
- Provide support when the SOC escalates an incident
- Share threat intelligence, IOCs, and sources
- Conduct scoping calls and propose an initial response approach
- Draft and maintain data collection procedures, investigation guides, and CERT documentation
- Analyze collected artifacts and formulate fact-based investigative hypotheses
- Precisely identify and timestamp TTPs and kill-chain stages
- Reassess the response approach and workload as investigations progress
- Provide feedback to support crisis decisions and improve security
- Write investigation reports containing technical details, findings, conclusions, and recommendations
- Raise client awareness of best practices and support them in dealings with authorities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or equivalent
- Fluent written and spoken French and English is essential (client-facing)
- At least 5 years of experience
- Experience analyzing system and network security events and OSI model protocols, particularly the TCP/IP stack
- Knowledge of Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems, file systems, and memory
- Regular use of security tools such as SIEM and EDR solutions
- Experience in Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI)
- Knowledge of cyber threats, TTPs, and the MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Holder of a security-related certification such as CFE, Security+, GIAC (GCIH, GCFA), OSCP/OSCE, CISSP, or PFI
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision
- High degree of integrity and ethical standards
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to think critically and consider all possibilities
