About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Resolve production incidents
- Implement changes and upgrades to systems, including the installation and configuration of new firewalls
- Help ensure the smooth operation of client platforms
- Write technical documentation
- Contribute to the optimization of production systems
- Work within the IT Operations production team under the supervision of an experienced engineer
- Manage complex technical platforms for approximately 100 clients across client sites, private cloud, Microsoft Azure, and AWS
Requirements
What you’ll need- Final-year engineering student or Master’s degree student
- Specialization in networking, systems, or cloud computing
- Seeking a six-month final-year internship with a view to potential employment
- Strong communication skills
- Fluent English
- Excellent interpersonal skills, energy, and motivation
- Knowledge of or experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Office 365
- Knowledge of LAN networks, Cisco Nexus, Catalyst, Meraki, and HP
- Knowledge of Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Check Point firewalls
- Linux environments: Debian, NGINX, Apache, and ProFTPD
- Windows environments: Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft PKI
- Virtualization/infrastructure: VMware and Dell EMC SAN
- Monitoring: Centreon
- Databases: MySQL, MS SQL Server, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
- Scripting: Puppet, Ansible, Shell, PowerShell, and Python
- Continuous deployment: GitLab CI
