About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage transportation and logistics risk, with technical autonomy
- Analyze operations, meet with clients on-site, and lead initiatives to prevent theft, accidents, and reduce loss ratios
- Develop solutions that deliver value to clients and support their retention at Alper
- Analyze operations, claims history, and performance indicators to identify vulnerabilities and priorities for action
- Prepare and review Risk Management Plans (RMPs), taking insurers’ requirements and operational feasibility into account
- Conduct technical site visits and audits, preparing reports and action plans with assigned owners and deadlines
- Monitor implementation of recommendations and assess their effectiveness
- Evaluate protection technologies and measures, including tracking, telematics, cameras, tracking beacons, locks, and escorts
- Lead meetings and training sessions with clients, insurers, and suppliers
- Support the sales and technical teams in negotiations and renewals, identifying opportunities for risk management services
- Prepare executive presentations and reports, keep records up to date, and provide technical support to the team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed university degree preferred
- Portuguese – Strong communication and writing skills preferred
- Experience in analysis, monitoring, and loss prevention activities within the transportation sector or risk management companies
- In-depth knowledge of tracking and monitoring systems (e.g., Autotrac, OnixSat, etc.)
- Ability to analyze route risks and identify critical points
- Strong operational risk analysis skills
- Ability to evaluate information flows
- Cost-benefit analysis focused on risk management
- Advanced Excel skills for manipulating and cross-referencing incident data
