About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare and update Airport Capital Improvement Plans and airport layout plan inputs
  • Support FAA/state AIP grant planning and justification
  • Lead NEPA environmental documentation for airport projects
  • Coordinate with FAA ADO and state aviation offices
  • Contribute qualifications and past-performance narrative to AlphaGov proposals when authorized to be named
  • Work on current municipal airport planning and environmental consulting projects
  • Engage remotely with occasional client travel

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in airport planning or airport environmental work
  • Working knowledge of FAA AIP, ACIP, ALP, and NEPA (FAA Order 1050.1F)
  • Comfortable as a 1099 project-based consultant
  • General aviation airport experience in the Southeast (nice to have)
  • PE or AICP (nice to have)
  • GIS skills (nice to have)
