About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct hospital, health system, and medical group operational assessments
- Improve organizational structure, governance, and management
- Address patient access, scheduling, throughput, and service delivery
- Improve financial performance, revenue cycle, and resource utilization
- Support value-based care, provider alignment, and care delivery transformation
- Lead strategic planning, service expansion, and organizational change
- Develop performance measurement, executive dashboards, and implementation oversight
- Provide interim leadership and executive advisory support
- Serve as executive advisor, subject matter expert, or engagement lead
- Conduct leadership interviews and assess current operations
- Identify performance gaps and recommend achievable improvements
- Develop implementation plans, accountability structures, and success measures
- Present findings to agency leadership, executive teams, and governing boards
- Contribute relevant expertise to proposals and client presentations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Significant leadership or consulting experience in hospitals, health systems, medical groups, health plans, or related healthcare organizations
- Demonstrated success improving operational, financial, or service delivery performance
- Experience leading complex initiatives and working with senior stakeholders
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate analysis into action
- Government and public-sector experience is preferred, not required
- Experience with academic medical centers, community health centers, rural healthcare, or publicly funded healthcare programs is valuable
- Ability to contribute as either a broad executive leader or a specialist with deep expertise
- Scope, compensation, availability, and responsibilities agreed upon for each engagement
- Participation is nonexclusive; inclusion in the network does not guarantee an assignment
