About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support HRIS and payroll-system pursuits and, when awarded, related implementation or assessment work
- Review agency HR, time, payroll, and position-control processes against the proposed system
- Plan configuration, parallel payroll testing, and conversion of employee and position data
- Identify integrations with finance, timekeeping, and retirement or benefits vendors
- Contribute system qualifications and past-performance narratives to proposals only when naming is authorized
- Support agency payroll parallel runs and go-live readiness
- Distinguish between implementations performed and work only advised on
Requirements
What you’ll need- Hands-on HRIS or payroll-system implementation for an employer with complex pay rules, as a functional lead or senior consultant
- Experience with employee data conversion, parallel payroll testing, and cutover
- Familiarity with position control, time entry, and earnings and deduction setup
- Able to name the HRIS or payroll product delivered
- Comfortable as a 1099 project-based collaborator, with occasional client travel
- Public-sector or school-system payroll experience, including bargaining-unit pay rules (nice to have)
- Experience with more than one HRIS product, not only a single vendor (nice to have)
