About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead or support infrastructure/energy research studies, including feasibility, demand, pipeline analysis, resilience, and workforce implications
- Synthesize technical, economic, and policy sources into decision-ready reports
- Partner with economists, GIS analysts, and sector operators when scopes require multi-discipline teams
- Support AlphaGov proposals with accurate sector framing and named-expert narratives when permissioned
- Flag when a solicitation requires PE/licensed professionals and help structure compliant teams
- Prefer subcontract/partner posture on mega-capital programs until AlphaGov has matching corporate past performance
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years infrastructure, energy, utility, transit, or resilience research/analysis (consulting, agency, or research org)
- At least two completed public or quasi-public sector studies you can cite (client/agency, your role, year)
- Strong writing and ability to explain technical findings to non-engineers
- Willingness to be named on proposals when expertise aligns and permission is granted
- PE, CEM, AICP, GISP, or related credential (when licenses required) — nice to have
- GIS / spatial analysis for pipeline or resilience studies — nice to have
- Clean-energy, grid, water, or transit workforce studies — nice to have
- Federal/state energy-office or utility commission experience — nice to have
