About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Run needs and task analyses with employers, instructors, and program staff to define learning outcomes
  • Design curricula, lesson plans, facilitator guides, and learner materials for in-person, virtual, and blended delivery
  • Build accessible e-learning modules and job aids for adult learners with varied literacy, language, and digital skills
  • Align content to industry credentials, apprenticeship standards, and career pathways
  • Develop assessments, completion measures, and evaluation plans that show learner progress
  • Pilot materials with instructors and participants, then revise based on feedback and results
  • Contribute qualifications and past-performance narrative to AlphaGov proposals when you authorize naming

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Demonstrated experience designing adult or workforce training curricula using ADDIE, SAM, or a comparable model
  • Experience writing facilitator guides, learner materials, and assessments for adult learners
  • Working knowledge of accessibility (Section 508 / WCAG) and plain-language design
  • Comfortable as a 1099 project-based consultant, remote-first with occasional client travel
  • Experience with community colleges, workforce boards, WIOA programs, or pre-apprenticeship training
  • Proficiency with Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, or a learning management system
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) content development
