About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support organizational assessments, operating-model reviews, and implementation plans for public agencies
- Design interviews, focus groups, or workshops that produce evidence, not only themes
- Document current roles, decision rights, and handoffs the agency can verify
- Draft practical recommendations and a sequenced implementation roadmap
- Facilitate working sessions with agency leadership and frontline supervisors
- Contribute methods and past-performance narrative to proposals only when naming is authorized
- Separate findings you can source from recommendations that still need agency data
- Engage in remote, project-based work with public agencies
- Participate in occasional client travel
- Work is contingent upon contract award and final staffing approval; there is no guaranteed assignment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience leading an organizational assessment or operating-model engagement for an employer, through a written deliverable
- Facilitation of leadership or employee sessions, with notes the client could use
- Ability to write findings, options, and an implementation sequence in plain language
- At least two engagements you can describe by organization type, your role, and the result
- Comfortable as a 1099 project-based collaborator, with occasional client travel
- Public-sector or school-system organizational work
- Experience connecting organization design to classification or staffing studies
