About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Document dispatch, records, and field reporting workflows and requirements
- Evaluate CAD/RMS/mobile solutions and integration (NCIC/state systems, NIBRS reporting)
- Plan data conversion, interfaces, and CJIS-compliant hosting
- Support implementation, testing, training, and go-live
- Contribute qualifications and past-performance narrative to AlphaGov proposals when authorized
- Work as a project-based collaborator on current public-sector consulting engagements
- Participate in occasional client travel when required
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 5 years of professional experience implementing or managing public safety CAD and RMS systems
- Knowledge of CJIS Security Policy and NIBRS reporting
- Experience with law enforcement or emergency communications operations
- Comfortable as a 1099 project-based consultant
- Campus or university police experience
- Experience with major CAD/RMS vendors (Tyler, Motorola, Hexagon, CentralSquare)
- Former dispatcher, records supervisor, or public safety IT lead
