About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as named technical lead on board/executive compensation for public pension and retirement systems
- Conduct annual total-compensation reviews for board direct reports, including base and performance pay
- Design and assess performance-pay and incentive plans
- Conduct target-market reviews and independent market studies
- Prepare board-ready reports and presentations for Boards of Trustees
- Attend occasional on-site board meetings
- Provide proposal past-performance support under AlphaGov
- Maintain independence and avoid conflicts of interest
Requirements
What you’ll need- ≥5 years compensation analysis for financial, investment, or pension-fund industries
- ≥5 years working with Boards of Trustees including presenting compensation benchmarking
- ≥5 years executive compensation and incentive strategies for large public-pension / governmental / nonprofit organizations
- Available for remote project-based consulting
- CCP/CEBS/WorldatWork/SPHR certification preferred
- Mercer/Pearl Meyer/WTW/McLagan/Aon board-compensation background preferred
- Texas or large pension experience preferred
