About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design assessment plans, interview protocols, focus-group guides, and survey instruments
- Conduct confidential interviews and facilitate focus groups with employees, supervisors, and leadership
- Analyze interview and survey data to identify themes in communication, morale, leadership, and working conditions
- Review relevant policies, complaint trends, turnover data, and organizational structure
- Write clear, balanced findings and practical recommendations for agency leadership
- Present results and support action planning with leaders and employee groups
- Contribute qualifications and past-performance narrative to AlphaGov proposals when you authorize naming
- Confirm scope, schedule, and fee before each engagement begins
- Participate in remote-first, project-based engagements with occasional client travel
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience leading workplace climate, culture, or organizational assessments, ideally in the public sector
- Skilled at confidential interviewing and focus-group facilitation on sensitive topics
- Ability to analyze qualitative and survey data and write balanced, evidence-based reports
- Comfortable as a 1099 project-based consultant, remote-first with occasional on-site interviews
- Background in HR, employee relations, industrial-organizational psychology, or workplace investigations
- Experience with unionized workforces, public safety departments, or school system employees
- SHRM, IPMA-HR, or a comparable professional credential
