About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and grow engineering teams and Tech Leads, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management
- Own architecture, development quality, and delivery of high-availability .NET and React platforms
- Write, review, and guide production .NET code
- Lead delivery across web and mobile trading platforms, CRM and Back Office systems, and payment service provider integrations
- Design scalable APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures on AWS and Kubernetes
- Drive code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and release readiness
- Govern Jira and Confluence processes, including backlog hygiene, sprint planning, documentation, and delivery reporting
- Drive responsible adoption of AI tools for delivery speed, code quality, testing, and documentation
- Partner with Product, QA, Cloud, Security, Dealing, Compliance, and business teams
- Identify and resolve blockers, delivery risks, and performance issues
- Ensure systems are secure, reliable, compliant, auditable, and supported by incident management
- Track KPIs for system stability, delivery performance, and engineering productivity
- Lead legacy-system modernization and reduce technical debt
Requirements
What you’ll need- 12+ years of hands-on .NET software engineering experience
- 4+ years in engineering leadership
- Proven experience managing Tech Leads, senior engineers, or multiple engineering teams
- Expert-level hands-on .NET engineering expertise
- Experience with .NET, React, TypeScript, SQL, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, microservices, event-driven architectures, and APIs
- Strong React and TypeScript experience
- Knowledge of clean architecture, domain-driven design, SOLID, SQL data modelling, and query performance tuning
- Experience with APIs, streaming and event-driven systems, microservices, Kubernetes, AWS, and IAM
- Experience designing high-availability, low-latency real-time systems
- Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, logging, and production support
- Practical knowledge of AI tools for coding, testing, and documentation
- Strong Agile delivery experience and advanced Jira and Confluence governance
- Experience delivering or supporting CRM and Back Office systems
- Experience with web and mobile trading platforms
- Understanding of trader lifecycle and client onboarding, including KYC, account opening, funding, pricing, order execution, positions, and margin
- Background in Forex/CFD brokerage or trading technology, ideally including MT4, MT5, cTrader, or proprietary trading platforms
- Experience in regulated financial environments, payments, compliance workflows, and leading distributed teams
- Proactive, self-driven problem-solving mindset
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
