About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Coordinate, verify, and/or maintain medical equipment and related system installations
Execute tasks in compliance with study protocol, Good Clinical Practices (GCP), and/or Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Perform equipment calibration and arrange vendor calibration visits as needed
Perform preventative maintenance and arrange vendor visits as needed
Maintain calibration records and preventative maintenance calendars
Provide equipment and systems documentation to QA for audits
Ensure equipment vendors have appropriate certifications and verify qualifications with QA
Coordinate with department heads to fulfill equipment needs and requests
Identify cost-cutting opportunities without compromising service quality
Ensure backup parts and accessories are available
Collaborate with Finance on service agreement terms
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and respond to after-hours outages when necessary
Maintain a master equipment inventory and assign asset tags
Collaborate with team members on proper equipment use and provide training
Participate in evaluating and implementing new technologies
Update the eSource system with equipment numbers and maintenance timeframes when applicable
Maintain and advocate customer service and departmental quality
Communicate issues and resolutions to departmental supervisors and managers

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma
1 year of related experience
Microsoft Suite
Strong computer literacy
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and industry specific manuals
Ability to write reports and correspondence
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Bilingual proficiency in English/French for Canadian locations
Well-developed interpersonal skills
Personal/professional integrity and proven discretion in handling confidential information
Ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results
Capable of managing multiple conflicting priorities
Must be self-directed, motivated, and willing to take the initiative to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations for implementation
Study protocols must be read and documented in English as required by industry regulatory agencies
