About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and optimize threat detection mechanisms.
Transform logs and telemetry into effective, scalable rules.
Collect, analyze, and correlate Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) to identify threats and malicious activity.
Monitor, collect, and analyze the Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) used by external threat actors.
Produce and disseminate actionable threat intelligence to support prevention, detection, and incident response.
Support cyber incident investigations and proactive threat hunting activities.
Monitor intelligence sources, including OSINT, to identify risks, vulnerabilities, and malicious campaigns.
Correlate intelligence with security events and alerts to identify potential compromises.
Prepare technical reports and intelligence analyses.
Support Information Security teams in identifying, prioritizing, and mitigating cyber threats.
Ensure performance, version control, and coverage against evasion techniques in high-volume environments.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Networks, or a related field.
Framework expertise: Proficiency in MITRE ATT&CK for attack mapping and the Diamond Model.
Threat hunting expertise: Advanced threat hunting without prior alerts, including behavioral anomaly detection.
Preferred: Knowledge of the Dark Web, secure browsing via Tor, and data collection from underground forums.
Preferred: CISM — Certified Information Security Manager.
Preferred: CISSP — Certified Information Systems Security Professional.
