About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, and optimize threat detection mechanisms
- Transform logs and telemetry into effective, scalable rules
- Work directly on the collection and analysis of IOCs
- Manage the collection and analysis of external TTPs
- Produce actionable intelligence
- Support investigations and proactive threat hunting
- Ensure performance, version control, and coverage against evasion techniques in high-volume environments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Networks, or a related field
- Knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework for attack mapping
- Knowledge of the Diamond Model
- Knowledge of threat hunting: advanced threat detection without prior alerts, focusing on behavioral anomalies
- Knowledge of query languages, regular expressions, parsing, Sigma, and Detection as Code
- Knowledge of version control, performance optimization, and coverage against evasion techniques in high-volume environments
- Knowledge of IOC and external TTP collection and analysis
- CISM and CISSP certifications are desirable
- Knowledge of the Dark Web, secure browsing via Tor, and data collection from underground forums is desirable
