About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform CFD simulations to analyze fluid behavior, heat transfer, and pressure distribution in the battery system
- Conduct FEA analyses to evaluate structural strength, fatigue, and durability of critical components
- Optimize designs for thermal efficiency, mechanical integrity, and weight reduction
- Validate models through experimental testing and comparison with real-world data
- Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, and design teams to integrate analysis results into product development
- Generate technical reports with recommendations for design improvements
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ASME, ISO, UL, and IEC
- Contribute to development of an Iron Air Battery, a large-scale energy storage solution
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related Engineering fields
- Knowledge of heat transfer and fluid dynamics
- 3+ years of experience in ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM, or STAR-CCM+ for fluid dynamics analyses
- 3+ years of experience in ANSYS Mechanical, Abaqus, Nastran, or SolidWorks Simulation for static/dynamic analysis
- Ability to participate in design review meetings and support creation of technical specifications
- English level B2–C1
- Preferred: multiphysics simulations (CFD-FEA coupling)
- Preferred: knowledge of iron-air batteries
- Preferred: knowledge of NFPA 69
- Preferred: knowledge of IEC 62485
- Preferred: expertise with Python/MATLAB
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration
- Technical leadership and decision-making capability
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Time management and ability to operate under tight deadlines
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong documentation discipline
- Supplier coordination and negotiation skills
