About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review custom plastic components and identify lower-cost materials, geometry, tooling, and manufacturing methods
- Develop rotomolded or thermoformed scrubber-vessel concepts with integrated features
- Drive supplier DFM reviews and incorporate feasible recommendations into CAD and drawings
- Evaluate tooling simplification, part consolidation, assembly reduction, quality risk, and validation needs
- Support nonconformance analysis for injection-molded components
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of plastics product development, process engineering, tooling, or supplier engineering experience
- Experience with injection molding plus at least one of rotomolding or thermoforming preferred
- Experience with polymer material selection, tooling, and supplier DFM
- Experience in part consolidation, wall-thickness control, draft, ribs, bosses, undercuts, shrinkage, warpage, and tolerance design
- Working knowledge of plastic part design, tooling economics, DFM, GD&T, and supplier qualification
- English level B2–C1
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration

- Time management and ability to operate under tight deadlines
