About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Sustain software for production automotive ECUs
  • Handle component changes such as obsolete parts, memory swaps, and second sources affecting ECU software or manufacturing tests
  • Support production at the contract manufacturer
  • Deploy test updates, debug production-line failures, and read yield data
  • Take over existing codebases and implement software changes
  • Validate component-related software changes
  • Document processes so they can be run independently
  • Create SOPs and runbooks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of automotive embedded software experience
  • Experience supporting production at a contract manufacturer, including deploying test updates, debugging line failures, and reading yield data
  • Ability to assess whether component changes require software changes and carry changes through validation
  • Automotive change control experience, including PPAP, DV/PV, and deviations
  • Hands-on bench debugging with standard lab tools
  • Ability to work independently and write SOPs/runbooks
  • Embedded Linux on automotive SoCs; QNX or Android is a plus
  • Storage bring-up, including partitioning, device tree, and boot flow for eMMC/UFS/SSD/DRAM changes
  • Yocto or similar build systems, CI pipelines, and multi-repo workflows
  • Secure boot and signed-image flows
  • Qualcomm, NXP i.MX, or NVIDIA platform experience is nice to have
  • Experience taking over a legacy codebase with thin documentation is nice to have
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening required
  • Must meet federal contractor compliance requirements
