Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable cloud-based software platforms supporting data-intensive and AI-enabled applications.
Drive architecture decisions, technical strategy, and software engineering best practices across complex enterprise systems.
Build and optimize secure, reliable, and high-performance backend services, APIs, and distributed applications.
Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions.
Lead code reviews, establish development standards, and promote software quality, maintainability, and scalability.
Develop cloud-native solutions using modern infrastructure, automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code technologies.
Design and implement integrations with external systems, platforms, and data sources.
Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements when handling sensitive data.
Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across multiple projects and teams.
Drive continuous improvement focused on system reliability, operational excellence, and engineering efficiency.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
10+ years of software development experience building enterprise-scale applications and platforms.
Strong experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native application development.
Proficiency in Python and experience with Java, TypeScript, or other modern programming languages.
Experience designing and implementing scalable software architectures and distributed systems.
Strong understanding of API development, system integrations, and microservices architectures.
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform.
Knowledge of software security, data privacy, and compliance best practices.
Experience working with large, complex datasets and highly regulated environments preferred.
AWS Solutions Architect certification or similar cloud certification preferred.
Experience within healthcare, life sciences, medical technology, or other regulated industries preferred.
Excellent communication, technical leadership, problem-solving, and mentoring abilities.
Must be available to collaborate with teams across multiple U.S. time zones.
Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening as a condition of hire.
