About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Generate accurate 3D CAD drawings
- Produce 2D fabrication and spool drawings
- Generate bills of materials for fabrication
- Work within a multi-discipline team
- Proactively communicate schedule and technical challenges
- Solve complex problems and identify solutions
- Act as a resource for more junior designers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS and/or AutoCAD Plant 3D
- Experience in Revit is an asset
- CSWP (Certified SOLIDWORKS Professional) preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
- Specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in mechanical design of water/wastewater skids or plants
- Food and Beverage, Industrial, Municipal and Micro Electronics markets experience preferred
- College diploma, associate, bachelor’s degree or 5+ years CAD drafting/design or equivalent experience
- Use of SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD Plant 3D
- Experience with SOLIDWORKS Routing and Weldments add-ins
- Strong knowledge of drafting standards and practices
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening required
