About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and maintain full systems engineering models for customer and project types
Develop systems engineering artifacts, including ConOps, requirements analyses and management, use cases, behavioral diagrams, system architectures, ICDs, trade studies, risk analyses, and verification plans
Create systems engineering documentation using Visio, Word, Excel, SharePoint, or MBSE platforms such as Cameo, CORE, DOORS, and Cradle
Lead or support design reviews and prepare required systems engineering content
Ensure adherence to ALTEN Technology Quality System processes
Serve as a technical leader across projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Communicate requirements, risks, technical issues, and system-level decisions to internal teams and customers
Support integration and verification planning and execution
Manage configuration control and maintain accurate systems documentation
Monitor scope creep and provide technical status to project management
Assist with project estimates and support the sales/quoting process
Provide temporary project-management support when the PM is unavailable
Mentor junior systems engineers as required

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technical Management
6+ years of engineering or product development experience with demonstrated systems engineering leadership
Aerospace or Defense experience or Medical Device experience
Strong understanding of systems engineering processes, requirements development, risk identification, and architecture modeling
Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present technical information to customers and leadership
Familiarity with MBSE tools such as Cameo, DOORS, Cradle, or CORE
