About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct civil engineering condition assessments of water-sector infrastructure
  • Develop design studies for drinking water and wastewater facilities and infrastructure
  • Prepare and monitor related and supplementary studies
  • Manage tendering and bid evaluation phases (ACT)
  • Monitor construction activities (VISA, DET, OPC and AOR)
  • Contribute to urban water engineering studies, including drinking water and wastewater diagnostics and master plans
  • Monitor and manage construction execution
  • Supervise and manage construction activities
  • Oversee project handover and manage closeout
  • Contribute to the agency’s projects, from preliminary design studies through construction handover
  • Work under the responsibility of the Atlantic Regional Office Director, with support from the Project Management and Construction Management Technical Department

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Engineering degree in hydraulics, public works or civil engineering
  • At least 2 years of experience in an engineering consultancy or construction management, excluding internships and work-study programs
  • Strong knowledge of public procurement law
  • Strong knowledge of the applicable regulatory and technical standards framework
  • Rigorous and detail-oriented approach
  • Strong interpersonal skills when working with clients and contractors
  • Strong ability to synthesize information
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Enjoys challenges
  • Eager to contribute to the growth of the agency and the region
  • Willingness to travel throughout the South-West region
