About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver construction management assignments for water-sector structures and infrastructure
- Conduct civil engineering diagnostics to assess defects in water-sector structures
- Carry out design studies for drinking water and wastewater structures and infrastructure: DIAG, EP, AVP, PRO
- Conduct and monitor related and supplementary studies
- Manage tendering and bid analysis phases: ACT
- Manage construction supervision phases: VISA, DET, OPC, and AOR
- Contribute to technical studies in urban water engineering
- Monitor and manage construction execution
- Monitor, supervise, and manage construction activities
- Oversee project completion and manage closeout
- Participate in business development meetings and lead meetings
- Contribute to tender responses and pre-sales activities
- Supervise the construction management team
- Monitor projects in terms of contractual and financial commitments
- Manage relationships with contractors
- Work under the supervision of the Branch Director
Requirements
What you’ll need- Engineering degree or Master’s degree with a specialization in civil engineering
- At least 5 years of experience in the urban water engineering sector, in a construction management role
- Demonstrated expertise in concrete and masonry defects and deterioration
- Knowledge of soil mechanics
- Knowledge of strength of materials
- Civil engineering expertise
- Proficiency in office software, particularly Excel
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential
