About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct property surveys related to wastewater and/or drinking water systems
- Carry out measurement campaigns and diagnostics of drinking water and wastewater networks
- Occasionally perform nighttime inspections
- Locate and survey drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater networks
- Regularly use GIS
- Update cartographic plans and prepare infrastructure data sheets
- Carry out GPS surveys of water networks
- Process field data and interpret results
- Contribute to the preparation of reports
- Maintain and monitor the equipment in the metrology fleet
- Participate in the agency’s field projects under the responsibility of the Agency Director
- Collaborate with study engineering teams and national agencies
Requirements
What you’ll need- A two- or three-year higher education qualification (Bac+2/3) in water management, such as a BTSA GEMEAU or a professional bachelor’s degree
- At least two years of experience and skills in drinking water supply, wastewater treatment, and/or non-collective sanitation
- Enjoy working in the field
- Ability to meet project deadlines
- Versatility across drinking water supply, wastewater, and non-collective sanitation assignments
- Self-reliance and thoroughness
- Responsiveness and ability to ensure the quality of collected data
- Practical mindset and team spirit
- Availability for regular travel, including trips lasting up to one week throughout the region
- Proficiency in or regular use of GIS
- A valid driving licence is required for regional travel
