About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a high-volume portfolio of residential REO assets across multiple markets nationwide
  • Develop and execute disposition strategies to maximize investor returns and meet client performance objectives
  • Monitor portfolio performance metrics, SLAs, timelines, and operational benchmarks
  • Analyze market conditions, inventory trends, property performance, and buyer demand to optimize pricing and sales strategies
  • Provide reporting, forecasting, and recommendations to clients and leadership
  • Evaluate opportunities to increase net recovery through repairs, renovations, occupancy strategies, and targeted marketing
  • Review and approve property budgets, vendor recommendations, preservation costs, and capital improvement requests
  • Partner with property management, field services, and vendor networks to maintain and position assets for sale
  • Identify and escalate asset-related risks, compliance issues, operational challenges, and process improvements
  • Oversee disposition from pre-listing through closing, ensuring timely execution and compliance
  • Determine marketing channels including MLS listings, online auctions, and bulk sales
  • Evaluate offers, negotiate contract terms, secure approvals, and facilitate transaction closings
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to increase asset visibility and buyer engagement
  • Review BPOs, appraisals, comparative market analyses, and valuation reports
  • Conduct financial and market analysis for strategic recommendations and portfolio planning
  • Advise investors, clients, servicing partners, brokers, and buyers throughout the asset lifecycle
  • Maintain communication regarding portfolio performance, asset strategy, market conditions, and transaction status
  • Support client meetings, portfolio reviews, and business development initiatives
  • Maintain accurate asset records and transaction activity in Equator and other asset management platforms
  • Ensure compliance with investor guidelines, regulations, company policies, and procedures
  • Monitor foreclosure timelines, title issues, and transaction milestones

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of experience in REO asset management, default servicing, real estate disposition, or related real estate operations
  • Experience managing institutional or large-scale residential real estate portfolios
  • Proven experience negotiating real estate transactions and managing assets through disposition
  • Strong knowledge of foreclosure, REO, loss mitigation, title, escrow, and residential real estate transaction processes
  • Working knowledge of HUD, FHA, VA, GSE, and investor servicing requirements
  • Understanding of real estate auction platforms and disposition strategies, including online auction sales
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market trends, property valuations, and financial data
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, relationship management, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Equator, and other real estate asset management systems
  • Experience with Hubzu, RES.NET, Equator, or similar REO disposition platforms
  • Experience managing bulk sales, portfolio sales, or institutional investor relationships
  • Knowledge of property preservation, field services, and vendor management practices
