About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Direct the coordination and scheduling of the delivery process within the Delivery pod
Coordinate quarterly AIP setup, data confirmation and requests, appraiser/client calls, quarterly invoicing, and engagement letter organization
Coordinate with clients and third-party appraisers to support execution of the VMS process
Review market data and analyst analyses and apply judgement to determine reasonable valuation assumptions under USPAP guidelines
Review and create AE models for income approach valuations
Review adjustments and conclusions in Sales Comparison and Cost approaches
Independently initiate end-to-end valuations across multiple asset classes
Review third-party appraisal reports for pricing, market assumptions, USPAP, and state-regulation compliance
Document, discuss, and resolve concerns with clients and third-party appraisers
Form valuation theses using market expert guidance, market data, and industry news
Conduct subject-property market and submarket analyses and determine market rent
Train and mentor analysts on foundational commercial real estate knowledge
Coordinate work allocation with GSC and analysts to improve process efficiency and resolve problems
Provide clear instructions, share insights, and contribute substantive input in meetings
Build relationships across organizational lines and identify emerging client needs

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience with real estate valuation and appraisal review
Ability to apply USPAP guidelines and comply with state regulations
Ability to review market data, valuation assumptions, and appraisal reports
Ability to create and review AE models for income approach valuation
Knowledge of Sales Comparison and Cost approaches
Ability to complete end-to-end valuations across multiple asset classes, including land and developments
Ability to value traditional operating properties, including complicated industrial, retail, apartment, and most office assets
Ability to analyze subject property markets and submarkets and determine market rent from comparable leases
Ability to incorporate market data, industry news, and asset-specific characteristics into valuation assumptions
Ability to train and mentor analysts
Ability to coordinate work with GSC and analysts
Background checks may include verification of employment history, education credentials, criminal records, credit history where relevant, and references
