About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the total equipment installation process at customer sites
- Use hand tools and perform climbing, bending, and stooping during installations
- Complete daily status/service reports
- Complete weekly expense reports
- Operate applications and software and perform part programming
- Train customers on equipment operation and applications
- Use Amada applications software for line control and part programming
- Provide service and support throughout all aspects of the customer's machine ownership
- Travel routinely within assigned territories, including occasional overnight stays
- Report to the Regional Service Manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, control systems, and networks
- Able to precisely follow layout drawings and blueprints used in equipment installation
- Ability to communicate in the English language
- Excellent customer relations and follow-through
- Operation, applications, software, and part programming capabilities
- Experience using Amada applications software for line control and part programming
- Regular travel within assigned territories
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- A 4 yr degree in Electronics or a minimum of a 2 yr degree with related work experience preferred
- Ability to analyze and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, optical, and electrical systems
- Ability to use hand tools, a Volt/Ohm meter, and an oscilloscope
- Working knowledge of computers and Windows OS
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
- Routine travel within assigned territories with occasional overnight stays
- Territory: Columbus, OH
- Spanish-language communication ability is non-essential
